Bossaball invited by the Ministry of Culture and Youth in Singapore

On this occasion Bossaball was part of the YOUTHphoria youth carnival, promoted by the youth program of the Singapore Discovery Center and organized by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to raise funds for social causes.

Games, performances, the finals of a paintball and a Bossaball tournament and the Young Entrepreneurs Competition raised more than S$ 14,400 for various charities through registration fees and booth sales.

Of this amount, S$ 7,900 went to The Straits Times School Fund, which provides educational funds for children from low-income families.

Guest of honor Low Yen Ling, parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, said: “It is wonderful that Youth has harnessed the energy, ingenuity and passion of young people to help the most vulnerable segments of Singapore.” Other beneficiaries included the Childhood Cancer Foundation and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities.
