Germany, Austria, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain were represented by their national Bossaball teams.
The open qualifications, organized on the 8th of May, provided for an additional contestant: members of volleyball club Ergolife/VCS formed a Bossaball team and competed with some of the best Bossaball players in the world.

The event started off with two pools of five teams with eager players striving to get to the next round. After the first round a winners and losers pool were formed and a second competition broke loose in which the best and the best of the rest all fought to become number one of their group.
In the losers pool, the second Dutch team proved to be the best of the rest, with runner-up volley club Ergolife/VCS as the surprise of the tournament.
In the winners pool, Austria and Spain fought to gain the third place. Spain won the match with big numbers which left the Austrian team empty-handed.

In the final the first Dutch and Belgium team competed for the title. The match, by many described as “probably the best match ever played in the Bossaball history”, started off with the Dutch team winning the first set. Belgium knew they had to get themselves together to stay in the game and fought hard to end up winning the second set. The thrilling final set began with both Bossaball teams showing amazing skills and trampoline jumpers Sven Leemans and Douwe Kamsma trying to make the difference. With an interim score of 14-14 Sven Leemans spiked the ball in the trampoline bringing the final score up to 14-17, which made the Dutch team end up at the position of primus inter pares.
Belgium won the tournament and was officially declared European Champion Bossaball 2010.
